Another incredibly close match saw some fantastically fast and accurate netball. Oldham started the match confidently, with Mia Robinson and Abbey Rogers scoring 11 of their 12 shooting opportunities. However, Millfield GS, Hannah Passmore, kept them in the game with her 9 goals from 11 shots taken. At half time there was just 3 in it – with the quarter being drawn 10-10. Both GS’s impressively recording 100% shooting averages. In the third quarter some excellent defending from both teams, meant that of the 25 shots on goal, just 17 were converted. Creative movement from Oldham WA, and Player of the Match, Olivia Gilbertson, meant that the opportunities created were numerous and the three quarter scoreline was 31-26 in their favour. Millfield were not going to give up however! A fantastic start to the final quarter saw them pull the score back to within just two goals, but with Hannah Paasmore again converting 9 of her 10 shooting chances, Oldham Hulme hung on to a well deserved win and a final victory of 39-36.
